If you’ve been keeping up with the new music I’ve been listening to, you know that I’ve got an ear for foreign rock music. (Rammstein, In Extremo, Heimataerde, Eisbrecher, Megahertz, etc.) And now I’ve happened across something completely different – for me at least. It’s a mix of operatic vocals to metal music, seemingly done mostly by Nordic/Scandinavian bands. It’s pretty interesting, and I think I like it. I’m on a quest for a gadget. What started me on this quest was my recent exposure to Audio-Books, where I discovered that my current MP3 player (which I got for $14.99 from geeks.com, I think) does not support WMP-DRM/Audio-Books. I -finally- found my good PC Speakers and got those hooked up last night, ah blissful death metal trance never sounded so good, LOL. Just discovered a couple of interesting artists through Amazon’s MP3 downloading service. I’d almost call them retro-rave but the current label is EBM (Electric Body Music). A couple weeks ago I bought three albums by Heimataerde, and then last night I got one from Grendel, and another from Dawn of Ashes.
