Well, it’s not really my birthday, but the Lemegeton blog is one year old today! My first ever post, So I got a blog, now what… started it all. So I’ve talked a friend into buying the Warhammer Pre-Order so he can get into the open beta and mess around with the rest of us – just one problem. He seems to be jinxed on getting his copy. Or at least quite a bit faster than I was yesterday at this time. What’s fast? My cable connection! I was on a 3Mb connection with CableOne, but during my massive download of WAR the other day, I noticed that CableOne throttles your connection based on your bandwidth usage, by at least a third. What I was expecting to be a 4-5hr download ended up taking more like 18 hours because they throttled me down to a 90KB+/- connection – ugh. I’ve been playing a bit of DAoC lately and trying to get at least one Hib and one Mid up to level 50. I’m making pretty good progress on my Hib Ranger, I think I’ve got her up to 48 (along with a level 47’ish Warden ‘bot), so if I’m really persistent over the weekend doing quests and stuff, I think I can get her to ding 50.
