May Rollup

What a busy month!  I can’t believe how much I’ve neglected writing in the blog, so I’m gonna blame work for that! 😛  I’ve been really busy trying to put together purchase plans and distributing and configuring new computer systems for the library that my time has just disappeared on me.  By the time I get home I just wanted to vedge in front of a game or do some reading. On the gaming front, I was jumping into WAR fairly regularly, playing both my Order and Chaos toons.  Then … Continue reading

Warhammer Annoyances

Ok, I’ve been playing Warhammer a bit this weekend and it’s really starting to piss me off in some areas that are just horribly designed.  I dunno where Mythic got some of these devs and their crappy ass ideas, most likely from EA, ‘cuz I don’t remember ever being this annoyed so often back in the days of DAoC. List ‘o Peeves: Guild Wars like Maps, where you are forced to take particular paths that are extraordinarily long and convoluted, instead of a direct route, due to non-traversible terrain. Crazy stuff…

I”m not sure what it is that’s going around, maybe my wallet has the swine flu or something, but I’ve been buying some interesting, eclectic, or just downright odd things lately.  Of course at the expense of practical things I probably SHOULD be spending money on… like tires. Prescott Plants

So it started out a pretty nice day today and I wanted to go get some plants for my empty planter boxes.  Being in an apartment has really curbed my gardening, but I do have about five or six of those 3′ plastic planter boxes to try and bring a little bit of greenery into my existence.  My shopping list included quite a few herbs, some showy flowers, and some scented flowers: Rosemary Thymes (various types) Lavenders (various types) Mints (various types, esp. chocolate, spearmint, and apple) Creeping Verbenas Geraniums (pelargoniums, … Continue reading

Monthly Roll-Up . . . a little late

OY!  It has been totally crazy around my neck of the woods and I feel like I haven’t had any time for myself or to do things that I enjoy, like posting to the blog!  At least we were able to fill the open position at work in my dept. so hopefully things won’t be quite as fever pitch as they’ve been – but the new person won’t be starting for another couple of weeks.  So until then, things are probably going to keep up the frantic pace, after that, … Continue reading
