A request for “Change”

Ok, so those of us who’ve been voting for awhile might remember way back when Billy Clinton first ran for office, and his oft repeated – ad naseum – mantra for “change.”  And now Obama has won on exactly the same platform.  It seems I remember a video montage from the original Clinton run where a news agency compiled a bunch of clips consisting soley of Clinton saying “change” over and over again from his various debates and speeches. What I’d like to see is an updated montage with both Clinton and Obama’s identical … Continue reading

What we need is change!

Well, ok I’m not really changing things too much, but I did renew my subscription to City of Heroes/Villains, at the invite from a friend who is still in the game. We’ll see how long that lasts. It was kind of fun to login and goof around with my robot minion master.  He’s one of my highest level characters at the ripe old “age” of 26. CoX isn’t terribly solo-friendly, so I usually only stay subscribed for a month or two before I exit in frustration… And therefore I don’t … Continue reading

Lazy Weekend

At least it seemed lazy to me, even though it also seemed like I was always trying to get something done yet nothing really got accomplished.  It was fun at the time, but as the long weekend winds down I’m kinda miffed at myself for being so scatter brained all weekend.  The worst thing was that I couldn’t find my key-codes for Sony Studio 8, which I wanted to re-install on my system to make some more YouTube videos.  When I tried to start the program it said it was … Continue reading

Enochian Tablets… Building Your Own

Ok, so in keeping with my “Lemegeton” theme – I thought I’d post at least one thing this month that pertains to the occult.  Enochian tablets, or tables, are interesting, complicated, and of course magical. They’re the “original” Ouija board.  Well… Maybe not quite “original,” since “talking boards” have been around for a very long time. But the Enochian version are what “real magi” use to talk to angels/demons/daemons what-have-you. The tables themselves were created through the dynamic-duo of Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly. (Two-man divinitory ensembles were quite the rage … Continue reading

2008 is done

My first full calendar year of blogging – woot!  I actually hit my 1-year anniversary last September, but having a full Jan-Dec. calendar year of blogs is kind of cool too! So let’s see… as for gaming in 2008 I did stints in EVE, LotRO, AoC, DAoC, WAR, Wiz101, WoW, Hellgate, CoX, and minimally some Guild Wars (mainly to see what my annual gift pets were, LOL).  I think I’m getting bored with the whole genre though as I can’t seem stay interested in any one of them more than 2-3 … Continue reading
