Been super busy

I apologize for not keeping the blog up-to-date lately.  With the new job and trying to settle into a new town (Las Vegas), I’ve been very busy just trying to get my life back in order and somewhat normal again.  I’ve also joined up with a few different meet-up groups to try and kickstart both my social and creative pursuits.  I even started my own meet-up group the other day, so we’ll see how that goes.

On the gaming side of life, I’ve mainly been playing Rift, and I still like it quiet a lot.  I also went ahead and cranked up my three EVE Online accounts last month as I was really jonesing for some “space opera.”  In EVE, I’m working on some alts that I’d like to be traders.  Currently they’re in a pretty rigorous training plan, and I have been in one as well by trying to learn and research how effective trade works and trying to come up with good trade routes by using both Ombey’s maps and the “official” EVE Strategic Maps.  I think I have some solid leads, but I won’t know until after I’ve put my plans into action for few weeks or so to fine-tune everything.

In other news, the hinge on my laptop has broken, so I’m looking for some kind of portable computing replacement.  I haven’t decided if I’m going to stay with the largish, gaming style laptops – like I’ve usually had, or try to go with a more portable, yet souped up net-book that can at least get me into EVE for training maintenance.  The laptop I’ve looked at is the Toshiba  Qosmio X775-Q7272, and the netbook I’ve thought might work is the ASUS 1215N-PU27.  The big advantage with the netbook is cost and portability.  I’m hoping it might also allow me to game slightly more discreetly…

Anyways, that about all the news there is lately.  I hope all is going well in your worlds, Enjoy!
