Ok, so the last time I did my “Music on a Theme” post it was about “Love Songs.” From the same cache of cassettes where I found my Love Songs tapes, there were also some that were compiled in what you might call the aftermath of love. I wouldn’t really call them “hate” songs, but definitely a bit “bitter,” to say the least. Unfortunately, none of these cassettes have dates on them, so I’ll just have to guess from the music that’s on them. I’m pretty sure I made them all in the late 90’s or there abouts.

Next up is a tape I made specifically to annoy my neighbors in an apt. building – lots of heavy bass, solid drumming, and other annoying stuff. I had one particular upstairs neighbor in Phoenix back around 1999 and she was totally The Queen Bitch from the Alien movie series – seriously. Play it LOUD!

Neil Peart often gives religion a hard time; you could have chosen Roll the Bones or Ghost of a Chance, as well.
True, I’m not sure if I had those songs at the time I recorded the cassette, although I’m pretty good at scarfing up Rush albums as soon as they’re released. Plus I do try to mix up the artists some – even though a ton of Metallica got in on that last recording…
