EVE Mission Running

[Edit: you may also be interested in my updated EVE How To post and Multiboxing post] Ok, I’m really a miner, but I was starting to get tired of doing the same old thing so I’ve been prep’ing to do missions for the past couple weeks.  I’ve have three accounts, one to mine, one to boost/protect, and one to haul.  My booster is the oldest account and he was originally going to be either “Black Ops,” or a “Stealth Bomber,” so he’s got quite a bit of the military training … Continue reading

In Search Of…. Gadgets

As I posted earlier – I’ve kind of been looking around at some of the latest MP3 players out there and that got me looking at GPS units, PDA, and Pocket-PC’s as well.  At first I was leaning towards an “all-in-one” unit, but I think now I’m leaning towards seperate units that do their jobs really well.  The two gadgets that really seem to grab my attention the most are Cowon’s D2 MP3 player (I refuse to use Apple and their craptastically proprietary iTunes garbage), and the ASUS eee PC … Continue reading

OMG it’s June!

I don’t know where May went, but it sure didn’t seem to last very long.  Getting used to the new town and new job, and getting my old house sold probably had a lot to do with time seeming to fly by. As for the blog, here come the stats: Top Five Posts: Hellgate Mini-Game and other goodies (As usual, has been #1 ever since I posted it) Eating in Prescott (A brand new post this month!) Hellgate London vs. Guild Wars How many MMO’s have you played? Enter the Maelstrom of Mining My posts on … Continue reading

Rock Opera

If you’ve been keeping up with the new music I’ve been listening to, you know that I’ve got an ear for foreign rock music. (Rammstein, In Extremo, Heimataerde, Eisbrecher, Megahertz, etc.)  And now I’ve happened across something completely different – for me at least.  It’s a mix of operatic vocals to metal music, seemingly done mostly by Nordic/Scandinavian bands.  It’s pretty interesting, and I think I like it.  So far I’ve bought albums from several different artists in this genre:  Nightwish, Within Temptation, After Forever, and Coronatus. I probably like Within … Continue reading

Gadget Quest

I’m on a quest for a gadget.  What started me on this quest was my recent exposure to Audio-Books, where I discovered that my current MP3 player  (which I got for $14.99 from geeks.com, I think) does not support WMP-DRM/Audio-Books.  What I really like about this el-cheapo mp3 player is that it does A LOT of things higher end player either don’t do, or do poorly.  a) it uses and plays from the SD-card b) you can create folders on the SD card and it will play just from that … Continue reading
