Bar Hopping…

So it was Saturday evening and I was walking around town looking for a place to hang my hat and I found this fun little bar with an awesome patio (fire pits and all) and live music.  It was called “Coyote Joe’s,” and the band was great!  I think their name was “The Cheap Tones,” or something like that.  After them another band played the interior of the bar called “Xtra Ticket,” but by that time I’d had plenty to drink and walked on home.  Anyways it was an unexpected … Continue reading

Found and Visited

I -finally- found my good PC Speakers and got those hooked up last night, ah blissful death metal trance never sounded so good, LOL.  Just discovered a couple of interesting artists through Amazon’s MP3 downloading service.  I’d almost call them retro-rave but the current label is EBM (Electric Body Music). A couple weeks ago I bought three albums by Heimataerde, and then last night I got one from Grendel, and another from Dawn of Ashes.  The lyrics are rather disturbing/bleak, but I love the dance-electronica music, very ironic placement of … Continue reading

I think that box is buried under some other stuff, but at least I think I know where it is, so that will be tonight’s project. My provider here is the cable company, whereas in NM I had DSL.  One thing I’ve noticed is that DSL was “always … Continue reading

Home… Sort of…

Well, I made it to Prescott, AZ in one piece, and so did most of everything else.  I’ll know better on that as the week progresses as I’m only about 10% unpacked so far and navigating many stacks of boxes throughout the apt.   I just got my cable internet connection up and running today, although I still only have access through one ethernet cable as I haven’t found my routers/switches yet.  I’ve found lots of CAT-5 cable, but no routers 🙁  Once I find at least one of my 6-7 … Continue reading
