With the impeding move to yet another state (from AZ to UT), I’m getting both excited and stressed out about getting everything done in time for the move (at the end of April). So in the mean time, I may not be posting here very regularly until sometime in May when things have (hopefully) settled down again.
As far as gaming goes, I (finally) ditched my EVE Online accounts for now, so the only active sub. I’ve got going is for Warhammer – and I’ll probably be chopping that at the end of the month and won’t be re-sub’ing to anything until after I’ve settled into some kind of “real work” again.
On the job front, nothing has been coming through, so I’m still looking around for gainful employment – anybody need a: (list of past positions)
- Systems Librarian (Systems Analyst WinServ 2k3/2k8)
- Web Administrator/Developer (apache, WAMP)
- Software Engineer & QA/Test (Intel proprietary SW)
- DBA – Data Modeller (MySQL/Oracle)

- Semiconductor Clean-Room/Fab Tech. (Litho, Etch, Diffusion)
So… Besides job hunting and getting ready to move, with very little side gaming in Warhammer, not much else is going on. I hope things in your world are a bit more relaxed and that this week finds you in a better place than last week. Enjoy!
Are you moving for a change of scenery, or did the library job go away? It looks like we’ll be moving again sometime between June and November to head down to Florida. New England is not for us.
The library job is going away and Prescott has zero jobs so I’m gonna move up to my Mom’s for a bit, take care of the estate there for a bit while I look for work. Most of Utah is a bit cold for my taste, but we’ll see where things go I guess.
Ideally I would find something in a town like St. George, Moab, or some other town within an easy drive (less than 6 hours) to family in central Utah (Richfield) and not Salt Lake nor Provo – LOL. Otherwise I’ll probably start looking in places like Portland, OR, and maybe Calif. if I get super desperate.
Ya, I’m picky about where I live, but I’m gettin old, so I get to be picky. I just don’t wanna deal with snow and temps below freezing for more than a few days at a time.
Yea, funny how age changes your perspective on snow… 😉 That and the cost of living is why we’re bugging out of New Hampshire sometime this year. That and it will put us closer to family. Good luck with the move!!
