Week One Complete

Well I’ve finished my first week at the new job and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of work but a lot of really cool stuff too!  I’m really looking forward to getting into it.  On the homefront, I still have a ton of unpacking to do, but I’m not sure where I’m going to put everything, so that’s kind of on hold until I can figure out what to do there.

I’ve had two major problems with the plumbing in the two weeks I’ve been in the apt.  Last week all the drains got plugged up ( way not fun when you flush and water comes up the tub – EW! )  So they called out the roto-rooter type guy and he cleared the drain, said he ran into a bunch of roots in the line, so hopefully that will fix that problem for awhile.  Today I noticed my kitchen sink drains leak – both of them, UGH!  One is dripping at the dispos-All junction, and the other drips from one of the goose-neck junctions – grrr.  So I’ll have to call up the apt. manager to get that taken care of, in the mean time I’m just glad I’ve got some buckets to put under there for now…

The house I’m selling back in NM is set to close on Monday, I’m really hoping that all goes through and I won’t have to worry about that anymore.  Then I should have at least a little bit of money left over that I might be able to put a down payment on something here – we’ll see.  So far it doesn’t look like I’ll be getting much, but something is better than nothing I guess, and lots better than losing $, which I guess is happening to lots of folks out there.

On the gaming front, I actually have allowed myself to login to both LotRO and EVE a few times.  LotRO mainly to keep my character in the guild and do a few quests here and there and EVE to keep my training plan up to date and do a little mining here and there.  I’m fully trained to fly a Hulk, but I’m short a few mil ISK, so I gotta pull a couple more nights of mining before I can get that.  After that I should really begin to rake in the ISK (crossing fingers).  We’ll see…

–Enjoy!
