I’ve been playing a bit of DAoC lately and trying to get at least one Hib and one Mid up to level 50. I’m making pretty good progress on my Hib Ranger, I think I’ve got her up to 48 (along with a level 47’ish Warden ‘bot), so if I’m really persistent over the weekend doing quests and stuff, I think I can get her to ding 50. Unfortunately I don’t know what all of those upper level quests are in Hibernia – I know in Albion once you get … Continue reading

I forgot to do my monthly round up of stats and quips, so I guess I’ll do it now – it’s only skewed by a week or so, so I guess that’s not too terrible… My top-5 posts were: Hellgate Mini-Game and other goodies (as always – with 79 hits) EVE Mission Running with 22 Making Movies with 20 Hellgate London vs. Guild Wars with 16 and My EVE Ride with 8 Not too bad, all but one at least made it into the double-digits. It ain’t no Washington Post, but oh well, I’m … Continue reading
Didn’t get a whole lot done this weekend, although I did spend some time in Camelot with one of my gaming buds. We’ve both got Albion Scouts up in their 40’s on the “Classic” Server – Lamorak. So we’re trying to get them through that final push to 50. It seems that in DAoC lvl-40 is about the half-way point in levelling – as it slows down considerably once you reach that point and the game tends to get quite “grind-o-licious” after that. Esp. since many of the “bounty” items … Continue reading
I logged into DAoC last night and goofed around with one of my gaming buds. We were working on getting our Albion Scouts prep’d for “Big-Boy RvR.” Currently we’re sitting around 45-46 so, we’ve got that last long haul up to 50. We mainly hunted over in the Caldey area of Shrouded Isles. Pretty easy to knock down reds and low purps there. I got a full level out of it, and a freebie (going from 44 to 46 in one fell swoop). We also had a 44’ish ‘tic with … Continue reading
Well I’ve been puttering around in Dark Age of Camelot for the past few days. It’s been a lot of fun in the battlegrounds (PvP) but it’s also brought up a few annoyances that I guess you just have to live with for going back to a game that originally came out in 2001. No mailboxes, no “quick selling” of inventory, a make-shift auction house (via the housing markets), etc. etc. But there have been a lot of improvements – levelling up isn’t nearly as “grindey” as it was “back in … Continue reading
