So I’m up to the last quarter or so of Dragon Age and I’ve decided to go on a bunch of side quests. Up until this weekend I hadn’t done any of the side quests for the various “guilds” nor the NPC Party members, but that changed this weekend. I’ve been on a steady diet of Mage, Mercenary, City Guard, and Rogue’s quests. So that has been interesting. What I’ve also noticed is a few things that I’ve missed on my Mage, I can’t seem to remedy. My mage was … Continue reading

So I’ve got my mage and a rogue up to just before the final battle and now I’m ready to try something a little different. So I re-rolled another rogue, this time a human female whose going to be a total bitch. I’ve modelled her after “Nellie” from the old TV show “Little House on the prairie.” So far, it’s been pretty fun! She’s sassed her mom and dad, and even the grey warden. She’s slept with the boy visiting from afar, and she’s one mean rogue! She’s going to be a hussie, … Continue reading
As of yesterday I hit my goal of 8,000 hits on the blog for this year, with a month and a half to spare! I know that’s small potatoes for most folks, but it’s just over double the number of visitors I had the year prior, so that was pretty cool. [Balloons and confetti fall here] Over the weekend I also played a lot more Dragon Age: Origins, and I’m still enjoying it quite a bit, but some of the shortcomings are starting to become apparent. They’re pretty minor, but I’m starting to … Continue reading
Yes I know my last two posts were about Dragon Age: Origins, so you should be used to it by now 😛 Anyways, after playing my Mage and my Rogue for quite a bit yesterday on my Veteran’s Day holiday, I decided to roll up another Rogue since I had missed a few things from the early game that you can’t get to once you’ve embarked upon the “main” storyline. And now knowing a few things about the game, I came up with a list of things I wished I … Continue reading
So I’m still having a lot of fun in Dragon Age. I’ve moved back to my first character, an elf mage. I’m really having a tough time diversifying my party make up, however. The Morrigan, Alistair, and Wynne combo is simply “teh win” combo for almost every situation. I think I’d really like to hear the banter with Leliana, Zevran, and Shale though, but I can’t seem to find a viable place for them in my party. And Sten is just boring so far – one or two-word monologues seem to … Continue reading
