I forgot to do my monthly round up of stats and quips, so I guess I’ll do it now – it’s only skewed by a week or so, so I guess that’s not too terrible… My top-5 posts were: Hellgate Mini-Game and other goodies (as always – with 79 hits) EVE Mission Running with 22 Making Movies with 20 Hellgate London vs. Guild Wars with 16 and My EVE Ride with 8 Not too bad, all but one at least made it into the double-digits. It ain’t no Washington Post, but oh well, I’m … Continue reading
Didn’t get a whole lot done this weekend, although I did spend some time in Camelot with one of my gaming buds. We’ve both got Albion Scouts up in their 40’s on the “Classic” Server – Lamorak. So we’re trying to get them through that final push to 50. It seems that in DAoC lvl-40 is about the half-way point in levelling – as it slows down considerably once you reach that point and the game tends to get quite “grind-o-licious” after that. Esp. since many of the “bounty” items … Continue reading
The following is the outline I used as a tribute to my Dad at his funeral last Saturday. Just to put it into context, my dad was a Geologist and Mining Engineer by trade and wasn’t really much of a religious person. I logged into DAoC last night and goofed around with one of my gaming buds. We were working on getting our Albion Scouts prep’d for “Big-Boy RvR.” Currently we’re sitting around 45-46 so, we’ve got that last long haul up to 50. We mainly hunted over in the Caldey area of Shrouded Isles. Pretty easy to knock down reds and low purps there. I got a full level out of it, and a freebie (going from 44 to 46 in one fell swoop). We also had a 44’ish ‘tic with … Continue reading
I’ve been a bit out of touch the last week or so. My dad died just over a week ago (July 19), so I’ve been out of sorts in many different ways. I’ll probably post the dedication/tribute that I read at his funeral – anyways, we’ll see how it goes – it’s been a bummer of a week. The family had been planning a get-together at my folks last week, so it was just that much harder that we didn’t get to see dad that one last time. It was … Continue reading
