Potty Etiquette

Just some peeves I’ve noticed around restrooms lately since the employee bathroom at work has been closed for remodelling. <rolls eyes> You wash your hands AFTER doing your business – what is it with these people that walk into the RR, immediately wash their hands, and THEN proceed to the porcelain, and leave without washing their hands again – ARGH!  When your mommy told you to wash your hands when you go to the bathroom, I’m pretty sure she meant AFTER you were done using the facilities. My MMO is better than your MMO!

I’ve sort of been watching from the sidelines the latest row between The Ancient Gaming Noob and Syncaine about World of Warcraft (WoW) and Warhammer; Age of Reckoning (WAR).  Really it all boils down to personal preferances and playstyles.  For example, TAGN has a very cool entry about how his mother and his daughter (and himself) are all able to play WoW together.  And I think that is very cool.  But does that make games where grandmas, sons and granddaughters cannot play together bad? Would they make a great football team? No. … Continue reading

Snow is sticking this time

Well its been snowing all day and we’re finally getting some accumulation.  We’ve got our first blanket of snow this season – it’s only a couple inches so far, but if it keeps up with the big fluffy flakes, we may have quite a blanket by morning.  I’ve also been feeling a bit cruddy and I took the day off work today so I’ve been catching up on my reading “homework” regarding game design.  I’m about halfway through The Art of Game Design, and I’ve also been doing some of the creative exercises … Continue reading

Snow and more!

It started snowing last night and it’s been pretty constant all day, but again like most snowstorms we’ve had here in Prescott this Winter there has been little to no accumulation worth mentioning.  Very odd for someone like me who has always lived somewhere that if it snows for more then six hours or so, esp. at night, you’re gonna have to shovel come morning…  Even in Albuquerque, where snow usually melts the day after the storm, it will at least accumulate during the storm if it’s longer than an … Continue reading

Whatta week!

It’s been a very busy and long week at work for me this passed week, as evidenced by the lack of blogging very much.  But I kind of knew it would be.  Bringing a new website “live” always shakes out any missed bugs or typos or whatever.  And no matter how many time you ask clients beforehand to look at things and make sure they’re working the way they expected, they never really seem to do so until the day the site actually goes live.  So in comes a landslide … Continue reading
