Ok, so I’ve played my Necro up to level 50 and it was easy-peasy. I use a full necro build. After some discussion with guildies, it’s very apparent that some folks just don’t “get it” with how to play a necro properly. My pet almost never dies, and my character only dies if I’ve really fubar’d for some reason – Feign Death is pretty much a “get out of soulwalk free” skill. Early on, you really want to be working your way towards your “bread and butter” skills, which are: Soul Purge (your “I Win” … Continue reading
Being a pet kinda player, of course two of my favorite builds incorporate pets as the main benefit. I’m still trying to figure out a good Beast Master build though – it’s the only pet based soul that I still haven’t warmed up to. My “main” is a Necro Mage with the following souls: Necromancer (and I dump almost all of my points in here, mainly to increase pet health and damage) Warlock (mainly for the life-tap/heal over time and power tap) Dominator (I only put 3 points in transmogrify) … Continue reading
I’ve been playing Rift for a week now and I have to say it’s one of the better MMO’s that I’ve played in quite awhile. What I wish it had is something more along the PvP “lakes” that Warhammer has in each of its major zones. If you’re a PvP player, it is in the game, but you’ll have to go looking for it. Unlike Warhammer, where I was … Continue reading

March 1) Dragon Age 2 (Coming out next week, March 8 ) Dungeon Siege 3 (Due May 31) Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Due early November) Neverwinter 2011 (Due at the … Continue reading
So I’ve been hitting Blender 3D pretty hard the last couple weeks and I’m starting to get where I can texture, pose, and do some rudimentary animations with existing assets (mesh, bones, dds files already made). I was also able to get my hands on the Torque 3D Gaming engine for their amazing “come back” price of only $99. This is an amazing deal for those of you hoping to one day get into PC game making, either as a hobby or as a legitimate business. So far, I’ve just … Continue reading
