Chores what chores – Warhammer is all that matters!

Just meant to say that the Preview Weekend really ate into my “chore time” this weekend, so I’m having to do laundry, vacuuming, and sundry other domestic duties every night after work.  OH the joys of living alone, you get to do it ALL! 😀  hehe. On the Warhammer front, after playing more Order in the RvR areas, wowsers – sorc’s really are OP’d!  Esp. when they’ve got a gaggle of healers working with them.  There was one in particular where 3-4 Bright Wizzie’s were bolting a Sorc, and she … Continue reading

WAR – Preview Thoughts

Ok, so I didn’t find any “deal-breakers” during the Warhammer: Age of Reckoning Preview Weekend, and therefore I’ll definitely be subscribing to the game for awhile.  There were a few annoying things – but I’m reserving full judgement on that to see if they get fixed by the time of Official Release.  Pretty minor bugs, but bugs still the same: Bolting from max range often let you continue to bolt the mob to death since it doesn’t know where you are – it just stands there taking it. Trivial Pursuit (game with all of its parts): $1  (how can I pass that up, for a buck! Esp. when Amazon lists it at $129?!?!) Joseph Campbell’s “The Way of the Animal Powers” … Continue reading

Suppa Fast!

Or at least quite a bit faster than I was yesterday at this time.  What’s fast?  My cable connection!  I was on a 3Mb connection with CableOne, but during my massive download of WAR the other day, I noticed that CableOne throttles your connection based on your bandwidth usage, by at least a third.  What I was expecting to be a 4-5hr download ended up taking more like 18 hours because they throttled me down to a 90KB+/- connection – ugh.  I’d been planning to upgrade to their 8Mb connection … Continue reading
