Warhammer Annoyances

Ok, I’ve been playing Warhammer a bit this weekend and it’s really starting to piss me off in some areas that are just horribly designed.  I dunno where Mythic got some of these devs and their crappy ass ideas, most likely from EA, ‘cuz I don’t remember ever being this annoyed so often back in the days of DAoC. List ‘o Peeves: Guild Wars like Maps, where you are forced to take particular paths that are extraordinarily long and convoluted, instead of a direct route, due to non-traversible terrain. Community Voices

I had an interesting experience today.  I attended a local “Community Conversation” meeting as a web/database technical liaison/expert .  The groups attending were, for the most part non-profit organizations, also known as “Community Benefit Organizations.” This was their third meeting (my first) and it was really interesting just to observe the dynamics of such a diverse group of 40 or so. Anyways, it got me to thinking (always a dangerous circumstance), what context would I use if I were to create a modern mythology.  One that actually “works” in this modern era, and would continue to “work” well … Continue reading

Crazy stuff…

I”m not sure what it is that’s going around, maybe my wallet has the swine flu or something, but I’ve been buying some interesting, eclectic, or just downright odd things lately.  Of course at the expense of practical things I probably SHOULD be spending money on… like tires. I just got my Saitek “Cyborg” keyboard today, and I really like it.  The keys are WAY better than my old Logitech keyboard – which was just a plain-jane black keyboard.  I really like the lighting effects and all of the other bells and whistles that … Continue reading
